Duos of plains zebra in Tsavo West

Each zebra has a unique pattern of stripes, similar to a human fingerprint.

The stripes act as camouflage and help them blend into their environment. When they stand together in herds, their stripes create a confusing visual illusion for predators, making it difficult to determine the size and direction of the herd.
