The Günther's dik-dik, with its small size and curious gaze, is one of the most adorable creatures you can encounter in the savanna. Measuring just about 40 cm in height, this small antelope is a master of camouflage, blending perfectly into its environment.
The Günther's dik-dik is not too shy and can be easily observed in Samburu, where it is relatively common. You can often see it moving in pairs or small family groups.
It's important to note that the Günther's dik-dik is different from the Kirk's dik-dik found in the Masai Mara, having distinct physical and behavioral characteristics.
Its diet mainly consists of leaves, fruits, and shoots, and it is particularly active early in the morning and late in the afternoon.
